But before we start, here are just a few tips to help ensure that your trip is a joyful, rather than tearful, experience.
1. Have a budget in mind.
Determine the maximum amount that you are comfortable spending before you start trying on gowns, and share this information with your consultant. By being honest and forthcoming with this information, we are able to better help you zero in on the perfect gown. This also eliminates any disappointment down the road as you won't have the chance to fall in love with a gown that is unfortunately outside of your allowance.
Remember, we have gowns that start at $99 and there are several discounts available so there really is no budget that we cannot work with!
2. Carefully consider who you will bring with you.
You won't have to look far for an opinion on what style bridal gown you should choose. If you're planning to bring friends and relatives with you when you come shopping, be sure they understand that you welcome their comments and ideas for your gown but the decision ultimately is yours alone. Limiting the number of guests you bring with you to just one or two people whose opinion's you value most is also a good strategy. It can get very confusing when six or seven people are all offering suggestions and opinions at once.
3. CSF - Comfort, Style, Fit
These are the top three considerations that should factor into your gown selection. Your goal should always be to find a style that flatters your figure and reflects your personal style.
Don't get caught up in what the models in the magazines look like--This is about YOU!
Be open to color and style options. It's great to have ideas in mind but being flexible is key. And above all, remember that you're going to be wearing this gown ALL DAY! Select something appropriate for the venue and something that won't hinder your movement.
