Casablanca at Market





We love Casablanca Bridal, and always look forward to seeing what they have at Market. They make amazing dresses with a ton of detail, elegant fabrics, loads of custom options and are still wonderfully priced. This year they did not disappoint. Faviana at Market


Not only did we find amazing wedding gowns and accessories at market, but we got to preview the 2012 line of Faviana's amazing prom dresses. We are proud to have worked with the line for several years and look forward to bringing Grand Rapids the newest Faviana has to offer for 2012!

"While most girls wait for the holidays to wear their sequined attire, you can wear your shimmering bottoms, tops, and dresses now!  Fashion week just ended and it was all about beautiful dresses and skirts that dazzled from metallic sequins and beads. Think less flashy and more delicate with softer shades of pink and silver tones.
There are a few basic rules to wearing sequins and making them look classy.  Make sure you keep your look casual and nonchalant.  Do not wear skin tight silhouettes and think breezy, flowy, not clingy. Keep your look simple with one color.  Black, silver, and gold dresses are always classic and gorgeous, but you can add some color, just keep it minimal for an all sequined dress.  Purple dresses and pink dresses are fashion forward, but they make a bigger bolder statement.   Make sure your outfit fits because when you walk into that room, all eyes will be focused on you! This is your time to shine, so add some sparkle to your wardrobe."

Market Update-Mary Frances Purses are Coming!

 

We are so excited to announce that Mary Frances purses are coming to Bridal Elegance! We absolutely fell in love with these beautiful bags at National Bridal Market, and just had to share them with you.
The attention to detail, the amazing bead work and the bit of whimsy set these bags apart from every other you have ever seen! As Mary Frances says..."Be prepared to fall in love!"

New Designs from The National Bridal Market!


Wow! What a weekend to be at the National Bridal market Chicago! We are having so much fun and there are so many amazing new designs and silhouettes. Check out a few of our favorites from Kathy Ireland for 2Be.







Delicate lace and illusion straps make this dress a showstopper. Beautiful rosettes create an empire waist that is flattering and elegant. And the tulle overlay on the skirt adds just the right touch of romance. 




Here is another example of a refined but elegant silhouette. A sweetheart neckline, with fitted asymmetrical drop waist, gives you a beautiful hourglass shape. The embroidery covering the bodice and trailing down the skirt, make it unforgettable.




An embellished one-shoulder strap, with ruched bodice flatters so many shapes. Artfully placed embroidery and pick-ups in the skirt add to the dress' playful nature. A nod to tradition with a twist of modern!  



A slightly fitted bodice with delicate sweetheart neckline. Absolutely amazing lace and embroidery cascade down the front of the skirt. Just the right amount of sparkle and a delicate belt are the finishing touches to update this ball gown.  Perfect for the modern princess!

These are a few of our favorite....venues!




 We are so thrilled to be featuring the JW Marriott as one of our favorite venues in West Michigan. We were recently able to talk with Lauren Mathews, "Dream Producer" for the JW.  As one of the premier hotels in Grand Rapids, the JW features fabulous food, breath-taking views and the best service around. If you have not made an appointment to tour the JW for your wedding reception, you really should! Read below to find out more.

1. What is the JW Marriott? And how long have you been around?    
The JW Marriott Grand Rapids is a luxury brand hotel with a upscale yet comfortable feel. The hotel opened in September of 2007. The JW offers three different wedding packages, The Classic, The Elegant and The Signature. All the packages include: hors d’oeuvres, a starter, an entrée, coffee and tea service, cake cutting, votives, white linens, tableware, tables, chairs, risers, dance floor, staging, wedding planner software, a menu tasting and an overnight stay for the bride and groom.

2.What makes the JW  stand out from other venues? Anything special you do differently?
The JW’s greatest feature is our outstanding catering. As Chef Justin Dalenberg says, “We do it right!!! We source all of our ingredients based on quality and locale first, then we build our menus around the best seasonal ingredients money can buy. We utilize age old traditions in the kitchen to maximize the flavors and textures of our ingredients, however, we do not compromise the flavor and composition of any of our dishes by over complicating the process. We are true to our 'farm to table' commitment and you can truly taste the difference just in the fact that most of our food has never been processed or handled by anyone besides our own local farmers, ranchers, fisherman and our very own JW culinary team. 3.What is your favorite wedding memory? 
My favorite JW wedding memory is receiving a big hug from a very excited mother-of-the-bride upon her arrival to the hotel the day before the wedding. She was our main contact throughout the whole process. The excitement is so contagious. It is a great reminder of the big picture of our job. It is a pleasure to be a part of such a special occasion in someone’s life.
